The third BYTS, Bosch Young Talent Show, is a special edition: connected with the cultural event 200 year anniversary of AKV|St.Joost academy in ’s-Hertogenbosch.
The first two BYTS exhibitions showed work of young international artists coming from the so called ‘Bosch cities’ (cities owning one or more works of Jheronimus Bosch).
This time the focus was on seven promising young artists coming from the AKV|St.Joost academy in ’s-Hertogenbosch. The seven artists, all under 30 years of age, are selected/curated by Thom Puckey, artist & teacher at the AKV|St.Joost academy.
BYTS had the honor to be the opening exposition for the new build exposition space of the AKV|St.Joost academy. I designed a monumental entrance for the BYTS show, using a printed fragment of the Jheronimus Bosch painting ‘the paradise garden’: Welcome into the world of Jheronimus Bosch. The connection with contemporary artmaking was visualized by a huge LED screen. (production and realization by TAKAYAMA EVENTS )
To allow the audience to be more connected with the ‘energy’ of the young contemporary artist a video production with short interviews and impressions of the build-up of the exhibition was made by Vincent Kruijt.
